Chocolate Diamonds Jewelery

Chocolate Diamonds Jewelery

Chocolate is immoral, decadent and delicious! And now it is available in jewellery. Not to eat, mind you, but extravagant gems. All carats and cuts of diamonds, created with the rich color of chocolate, are as luxurious as the word chocolate implies.

While chocolate gemstones are available at many online jewellery sites, the foremost authority and outlet of chocolate diamonds is Jewellery Trade, a family with five hundred years of jewellery experience, and one who presently focuses on collecting rare, naturally colored diamonds.

All of their stones are taken from one mine in Australia called Argyle. Not surprising, considering the company’s history and expertise, it appears as though Jewellery Trade owns the trademarks to Chocolate Diamonds and Chocolate Pearls.

Titanium & Black Diamond Men's Rings

Titanium & Black Diamond Men's Rings

My blog recognizes the demand from consumers for more modern, urban and up to date jewelry designs for men. As noted at the JKC show in Las Vegas last week, mens jewelry is expanding to include new styles and designers offering consumers even more selections in sophisticated yet urban pieces.

Jewelry designs featuring stainless steel, black diamonds, titanium and tungsten frequently nurture in demand among younger men and men of all ages who have more urban tastes. Titanium-jewelry.com provides mens wedding bands and jewelry constructed from the highest quality materials and manufacturing techniques, while keeping its focus on the trends and up and coming styles in jewelry.

Titanium-Jewelry.com recognizes the demand from consumers for more modern, urban and contemporary jewelry designs. Items such as the Triton HALCYON bracelet which boasts twin rows of 50 lustrous black diamonds complemented with a heavy 10mm width bracelet; titanium rings with black diamonds; and the Clarion Black Diamond Dog Tag Necklace have been leading sales in recent months.

JKC keynote speaker, Russell Simmons discussed his new line Simmons Jewelry which he developed to help raise awareness for the Diamond Empowerment Fund. Likewise, many of the pieces in Simmons Jewelry line feature stainless steel with diamonds. Black diamonds which became popular in the early 1990's have seen a renewed interest from celebrities and fashion enthusiasts alike. First discovered back in 1840 in Brazil, black diamonds are primarily found in Brazil and the Central African Republic. The revived trend for black diamonds has influenced contemporary and urban jewelry designs offering cool, sleek and sophisticated styles for young men.

"We've continuously widened our inventory to meet the demands of consumers by providing the latest trends and designs," stated Ron Yates founder of Titanium-Jewelry.com. "The mens jewelry market is benefitting from the evolution of materials, styles and global influences in designs. As celebrities such as Russell Simmons, Seal and Kanye West expand their musical talents to the world of jewelry designs, the styles and materials used offer a whole new flavor in mens jewelry while shedding light on important global causes," Yates concluded.

Gemstone Jewelry

Ammolite Jewelry: Gemstone Jewelry

The colors present in Ammolite are caused by light intervention during refraction into the many layers of the gemstone. Each color in Ammolite represents a poles apart layer of the gem material. So, depending on the number of superior layers in the rough, everything from one color to the full visible spectrum will be displayed. Since the play of light varies, every Ammolite gem shows a unique array of color. Ammolite comes in a wide variety of colors including red, blue, green, yellow, gold, pink, and many others.

One familiar source of confusion among pearl patrons is the misinformation about what a Cultured Pearl is and how it differs from Natural Pearls. A Natural Pearl forms in nature when an accidental irritant such as sand, a parasite, or any foreign object enters the oyster. In a defensive response, the mollusk begins secreting nacre, thin layers of calcium carbonate in an attempt to cover the offending object.

$129

Due to the anomalous shapes entering the mollusk, the pearls created by the continual layering of nacre will almost always be misshapen (baroque). Only in rare cases will a natural pearl occur in a spherical shape, making it impossible to supply money-making quantities of round necklaces to the marketplace.

Colorful Freshwater Pearls

Multicolor pearls are one of the hottest trends this year. Freshwater pearls come in various pastel shades of white, pink, peach, lavender, plum, purple, and tangerine, depending on the type of mussel. Freshwater pearls come from freshwater mussels. Nothing is more natural than a pearl. Unlike gemstones, that are cut and polished to unleash their beauty, pearls emerge from the creature that conceived them.

Tahitian Black Pearls
Exotic Pearls

Tahitian Black Pearls are some of the rarest, most valuable pearls available and have the distinction of being the world's only naturally Black Pearl. They range in size from 9mm to 16mm making them some of the largest pearls available. They are rarer than other types of pearls, since only a small number of oysters survive to produce a fine Tahitian pearl.

Big Diamonds Big Dollars

Big Diamonds get Big Dollars

While the hard-hitting economic times have affected the average diamond shopper, the very wealthy shoppers are on a buying extravaganza. At Christie’s jewelry action October 21 in New York, it was as if the slump never happened.

An anonymous buyer purchased a 32.01-carat D color, Internally perfect, type IIa Asscher cut diamond ring for $7.7, which was almost double the $3 million to $5 million pre-auction estimated value. At $240,000 per carat, the sale set a new world record for a colorless diamond.

The Annenberg Diamond’s formerly owner was Leonore “Lee” Anneberg, who died in March at the age of 91. She was the US Chief of protocol in the Reagan administration and was the wife of billionaire publisher Walter Annenberg, who died in 2002.

A 16.33-carat round diamond with E color and Flawless clarity was purchased for $1.6 million ($97,000 per carat) by a private Asian dealer. Other items that sold for more than preliminary estimates included belle époque diamond and rock crystal bow brooch by Cartier (sold for $1.1 million, estimate $200,000 to $300,000) and a Harry Winston emerald and diamond necklace (sold for $950,500, estimate $500,000 to $700,000).

Other big dollar stuff sold at the auction included a pair of pear pendants with a 7.18-carat Fancy-Blue pear-shaped diamond and an 8.04-carat Fancy Light Pink colored pear-shaped diamond, which sold for $1,426,500. A pair of earrings featuring D color, Internally Flawless pear-shaped diamonds (7.51 carats and 8.18 carats) sold for $1,202,500.

The Christie's auction (October 21 in New York) totaled $46.5 million.
